Evening Sam Sammy Harnden, you certainly haven’t made my life - TopicsExpress

Evening Sam Sammy Harnden, you certainly haven’t made my life easy with this forecast… First off I had no idea where Loch Rannoch was, let alone what the climate was going to be like, it’s been fun working out why you would go somewhere hundreds of feet above sea level where it’s cold, wet and windy most of the time, but the views look stunning… I can’t believe how the climate can change within a 5 mile radius of the loch itself, it’s like it has it’s own micro climate, so here’s your weather but you might regret asking lol… Saturday will start dry, cloudy and misty with a strong SW wind bringing in drizzle from around about midday turning heavy for a time before clearing after 4pm… Very windy with gales force gusts and Max 15C (59F) Winds veering to W into Sunday AM veering NW by late morning (10am) with heavy showers with the chance of thunder – showers will be frequent, quite heavy and fairly short lived as they rattle in on 20mph, gusting 35mph, winds clearing late evening and becoming dry towards dusk.. Max 14C (57F) Monday will be an exact repeat of Sunday, the only difference is the showers don’t really get going til 1pm and there will be fewer of them with longer dry spells between dying out by dusk again. Max 13C (55F) As the low pressure develops to the South of Iceland Saturday and rattles across the North of Scotland through Sunday towards Norway on Monday this will leave a strong, gusty NW flow with heavy showers rattling through on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, you can safely say that it’s going to remain unsettled with frequent, blustery, heavy showers accompanied by some hail and relatively unseasonably cold temps where highs on Wed and Thursday will be between 11 and 13C (52-55F) Winds look like that they may gradually ease during Thursday as will the showers and as such will become lighter and more scattered as the day goes on and this evening, I have managed to get access to a Jet Stream forecast model which indicates a slight widening of the isobars for Friday indicating lighter winds and a dry day – likely to be the only one of the week… While this day will remain largely cloudy with low cloud/mist over the higher hills it should make for a pleasant day after what is looking like a pretty disturbed and windy week ahead for you… Which will return to the area through Saturday 23rd Aug… I cannot guarantee that this will be true, as I cannot guarantee an accurate forecast but my interpretation of the wild weather of Scotland is probably true for Loch Rannoch and I have had a challenging time trying to get this right… And this is your personal forecast… For Now… :-)
