Today I, Roisin Flanagan, Irish & European Representative of the Young Global Leadership Foundation wish to ask you to talk with me about today, October 2nd; The International Day of Non-Violence. On 15 June 2007 the United Nations General Assembly voted to establish 2 October as the International Day of Non-Violence.[1] The resolution by the General Assembly asks all members of the UN system to commemorate 2 October in "an appropriate manner and disseminate the message of non-violence, including through education and public awareness." Let all Young Global Leaders try to adapt every day of the calender as International Non-Violence Day in an attempt for peace and continuous prosperity!
