Evening gang, well were officially less than three weeks away and with summer schedules starting to wrap up its time to turn to reunion mode. Spent the weekend down south with Mr. Kagetsu and after some late night recruiting were pleased to report we are at 65 confirmed (that said a number of you still have to get your payments in and we kindly ask that you do so sooner than later). We have about 15 or 20 maybes and well give that gang until the end of the week before we start peer pressuring them on here. We also pulled out the annual and reached out to about another 30 or 40 so hopefully well track some more down. We got to 80 for the 20th and it would be great to match that again. I appreciate everyone has lots on their plates but with a little effort in spreading the word (and encouraging some of your old buds to make it out) we can get an even bigger crowd out this time. For some of you that werent able to make it last time, or are on the fence this time, there were lots of people who were showing up last time without having seen anyone in 10 or 20 years. I know in my case most of the faces I havent seen for 5 years since the 20th. I can assure you all who made it out to the 20th had a great evening and there were lots of laughs and stories shared. Just takes a little bit of effort/courage and youll be in for a good evening. Also for those not there last time the event is in the Thompson Room at the River Rock (the old Doc Marlins as some of you may fondly remember it). Evening starts off at 7 pm with appies and hors doeuvres (did I spell that right?). Cash bar, DJ and dancing to follow (yes the majority were on the floor last time), desert, coffee, etc, more dancing, possibly another trip to the bar, evening goes until about 1 or 1:30 (unofficially the evening did carry on last go around with most not wanting the evening to end). Also for those booking rooms we do have a discounted rate if you mention the event (albeit that may be running out soon so hurry). Enough rambling but for those that have confirmed but havent purchased your tickets yet please do so asap (we need to get numbers in to the caterers by the end of the week). Details on how to buy your tickets are posted on the word document in the post below. For those that are on the fence please take a little leap here, make the effort and come join some old mates for an evening out, I guarantee youll enjoy yourself. For those who didnt make it last time I encourage you to take a little leap as well. Last but not least for those that are coming take a few minutes and think to yourself who you would like to see out and reach out to them to see if they are coming and if not encourage them to do so. As handy as facebook is for getting the word out the reality is the 150 or so on here are only a portion of our class. There will still be many out there who arent even aware and with your assistance we can hopefully get to most. Last couple things, we purposely made this an 89ish event so anyone in and around those years are welcome. Also, spouses/partners/significant others/etc are more than welcome. Although most came solo last time there were a number who came with a date and more are planning to do so this time.
