Evening its nice to see you, hope your Thursday so far is a good one,,, we are having some thunder and lightning right now and my Red Sox will be on at 7 oclock with the pre-game on now.. so, for tonight.. a couple of things about the pictures I posted for you today.. the first one showing Salvatore and Stella, my Pa & Ma, was taken in 1946 and it was taken by Bachrach Photographers from Boston and he happened to be my fathers landlord at his cobbler shop.. He loved my father and he offered to do the photo for free .. well about 12 or 13 years later I was stuck with what I would give my parents for Christmas, after some thinking, I came up with an idea, So I took the picture that you saw today and I brought it to a Photographer in Waltham Mass. and told him I wanted the picture made larger, from a 7 by 11, to 18 by 24, and I wanted it hand painted, I asked him if he could do it, and he said Yes, no problem, I told him to use blue for Mas dress and a light brown for Pas suit jacket... then I asked him to get a white wooden frame and with a white border and put it all together... I said How Much?, he gave me a price of $90.00.. I said go for it and that I needed it for Christmas.. one week before Christmas, it was ready, I looked at it and it just blew me away.. it was just Beautiful... I wrapped it and gave it to Pa & Ma on Christmas morning... their reaction was shock, they couldnt believe it, who did it? who picked out the colors ?.... Ma eyes welt up with tears, they loved it very much and it was in their bedroom until they both died, and today it is above the computer on the wall.. and every day I look up and say Good Morning and every night I say Good Night to both of them and tell them I love them.. Once in a while, when Im stuck with a problem or an issue I need help on I look up and ask for their help... I dont know much, but I do know this.. If you have a nice picture of your parents together, check out what I did, and your parents are alive give them this picture for Christmas, or a birthday.. and see their reaction, if both your parents are In heaven, then you do it for yourself, as a reminder of what they meant to you... you one day pass it on to your kids. etc... It Is such a beautiful momento of your Parents, that is priceless... Just A Thought.... think on it..
