Evening post - Day 136. The first day on the 12th floor was a good one. Stone seemed to feel pretty good. Still sleepy but not as bad as yesterday. I guess he did the best in occupational therapy . He took a bite out of a cracker and drank a good bit of water . We pray that Stone will start to eat on his own before we leave the hospital. Going home with the NG tube is not really what we want to do. But if he needs a little more time, well come home with it. As I mentioned last night, the plan now is to move to the rehab dept on Thursday. It is on the same floor that we are on now, but the move will come with many changes in our day to day routine. For right now we are kind of in a holding pattern. We lost two of the three therapist with this move when we left their floor. The ones we are working with for the next two days we will also lose again when we move to rehab. So we are ready to see the faces that will get us home. Praying for stability in the dialysis dept. as we actually go down to the unit tomorrow for the first time . Please pray for a breakthrough for the understanding of a correct dry weight which allows for proper weight gain with his increased food intake and that they want take Stone so close to the line of dehydration. The train keeps rolling east bound slow and steady. Sun at our backs this afternoon. This particular rider is tired, worn and battered ready to push through the next phase of recovery; But still stronger than Ive ever been. Faith and trust renewed. Love and hope a reality . Realizing what a miraculous experience this has been and will continue to be. I really feel that this train will go on for a long time to come . God has made this train full of passengers too grand to just stop it . Too much good has come to so many to just stop it when Stone is home! I promised to do my part quite some days ago now. As I said TRAIN ROLLS ON !!
