Evening post - Day 199 Gods favor spilled out over the Stoneman today. Phosphorus was down by 2 points and co2 was up by three. Thanks to the army for your prayers. Dialysis was smooth . Hes felt well with lots of smiles. I came back to work after a round table meeting at the hospital to try and work awhile. Amy stayed with him for rehab. She reports that the therapist said today was the best day ever. The speech therapist was very impressed . While p/t and O/t also reported much improvement. Again, only Gods favor can go from the hospitals talk of readmitting on Monday to great improvements on Wednesday. Thank you Lord. Thank you army and train riders. Today I heard the news of an old friend passing away. It had me thinking of him often today. Drawing on memories of over 30 yrs . These thoughts turn into memories of many others who weve lost along the way . These memories turn into thoughts of how very close I come to adding my own sons name to this list. . Lord, Lord how these thoughts hurt. It is an indescribable pain, but just as my favorite song writer sings the scars remain while the pain slips away it seems. Praying for my pain to slip away soon. I dont mind the scar it can be worn with honor as I can picture Stone later in life experiencing all life has to offer. Its not something that just eats at me but every now and then it shows its ugly head . Tonight I give God the glory for Stones name not being on that list. And I assure Him I will never forget the Promise I made to Him the whole time we were in the hospital. I thought when the train got back to Pleasant Ridge we would just get off and stay at home. I didnt realize the ride is never ending. It just gets better and better. Train rolls on!!
