Evening post - Day 217. Well for the first day in a very long time I can not report a good day for Stone . It all started about 3:00 am this morning. As I was laying in bed, I heard Stone crying. As I gathered myself and got up I found Stone sitting at the foot of our bed . I knew Amy had laid down with him as she as slept with him every night since being at home . But Amy had heard Cohen crying and went and layed down with her. So I guess Stone woke and with her not there come to find one of us and fell down . He could not put any weight on his left ankle. It didnt appear to be a big deal and Amy took him back to bed but this morning it was swollen pretty bad and he could not walk on it. We decided to give it a while and see what happened; but as the morning went on so did the pain and swelling . So we decided to take him to the ER for X-rays. They showed no fracture but did show inflammation and with Stones history being what it is every precaution is being taken . So for the moment hes in the ER waiting to have lab work pulled from his dialysis line . The orthopedic doctor was in a little while ago and said he would be very surprised if it was anything other than a sprang. On the other hand ER doctors are doing their job making sure that is all and they prepare Amy for worst case scenarios. So not terrible news but no rides around the property today . Amy and I have learned not to get to wound up by what they tell us. Just listen and pray and see what happens. Its kinda like my view right now sitting in my spot watching the sun start its decent looking due west. When I scan to my right or NW I see lighting and dark clouds with rain falling . To my left, Southwest, I see blue sky and a beautiful sun set . So its up to me rather I look at the sunset or I look at the storm . You know where Im looking. Yeah. You were right. I take a glance from time to time to see what that storm is doing but thats not my focus . Amy just texted and said they got blood for labs so should know about any possible infection soon . Ill update more later tonight as we know . Im still fighting a round of virtago so Im home with Ryder and Cohen praying and waiting on info from Amy . Train rolls on. Post was late getting posted and in the mean time the blood work came back - all clear. And the train rolls on.
