Evening post- Day 143. Weve had a good day here. Really good - TopicsExpress

Evening post- Day 143. Weve had a good day here. Really good PT session this morning. We took a little bike ride down to the garden area and while we were there we walked quite a bit . Still needs a lot of help walking but holds his own weight and takes the steps by himself . The other big news is his blood pressure. It is still in the perfect range with no use of the bad drug. We also cut another drug out because I just wouldnt let up about it. A very important part of this ride is coming to a close. With the suddenly of blood pressure recovery, this has opened a door up for us. Amy and I have made the decision to move Stone back to Childrens of Alabama on Thursday. Everything has been approved and we are flying back Thursday morning. We came to Texas to advance Stones care in renal function. This has been accomplished along with the focus on his nutrition which helped get enough of the right calories in his body so his organs has what they needed to start recovering. At present, Stone still needs dialysis three times a week. From a rehab standpoint, Alabama is comparable in level of care which gets us back to a situation where we can get back into the lives of our other two children. There are many thanks to so many people riding this train. This is a great place here that I pray none of you ever need . Many people have said that I should write a book about this ride when its over . If so, the Texas Childrens Hospital chapters are coming to a close. This descion came very fast for us and was an easy one to make. Yesterday with one call to our angel in Birmingham, the plan to get Stoneman back to Alabama was off and running . And it happened quick . Its like everything was in place . By the end of the day it was almost conpletly approved on both ends. This is normally no easy task . This same procedure took 10 days or more just to get out here. God never closes one door without opening another . Amy and I know without a doubt God sent us here . We really didnt know why . But we came on because we felt it was best for Stone. And it was . And as Dr. Stine here says on Stones recovery process, the proof is in the puddin. Hes better - much better . He Carries a few battle scars but other than that this kid looks good sitting up in the bed playing jokes on his mama today acting like he was sad and about to cry and when she bends down to console him he bust out laughing. Thats my Stone! I Talked Amy into driving her van home today and I will stay behind to fly with Stone back. Her van looked like she was moving. Loaded to the ceiling with supplys and gifts from you all . It was almost funny it was so full . Please say a prayer for her tonight has she drives as far as she can. My friend Trey said when he was out here a couple of weeks ago that God does things suddenly. So suddenly - God did something unusual and allowed us to have a way to come on back to sweet home Alabama. Stoneman is coming back closer to home. Everyone get your bags packed, we are headed East come Thursday! Please pray us all back safe. Train picking up paper tonight !!
