Evening post -day 52. What a difference 24 hrs makes! Stone had a Great day . Rehab blowed our minds. (or should I say God blew our minds) They came in with a wheelchair and said time to get him out of this room . So we went for a little ride down to the end cap that is all glass walls looking to the outside. We set with him for about 45 minutes out there . Rehab said it was huge that he was able to sit in a wheelchair after being flat in bed for 7 weeks and his heart rate and blood Pressure stayed steady and strong. It was also very important for his lungs and everything to get him up . Thank you for that nice surprise Lord! Other positive things that happened today were lungs sounding much stronger with very little suction needed and they turned off oxygen assist going into his nose. They have spread physical therapy treatments to every 4 hrs and may consider 6 hrs which will allow more rest for him tonight . Dr. Winkler says we will be out of PICU by the end of the week she hopes and will most likely go to the rehab floor . This will be HUGE step in Stones recovery process . Much work to be done for Stone to overcome effects of stroke . But with Gods help we have no doubt that this can and will be done . And Amy and I are ready to get started. Next stop - rehab . Please Thank God tonight, along with us, for working through this little boy to change so many things for so many people. This has all been done in the power of his Name and for his Glory. Amy and I are stronger than ever and more determined than ever that Stones coming home 100%. God bless you all ! Choo Choo! Train heading down the tracks.
