Evening prayer for Monday, January 12th, 2015 “The chief beauty about time is that you cannot waste it in advance. The next year, the next day, the next hour are lying ready for you, as perfect, as unspoiled, as if you had never wasted or misapplied a single moment in all your life. (Luke 12: 25) Lord, this day is now over Any mistakes I made are part of my past I cannot undo them Any words I should not have said Cannot be taken back Any people I have hurt Cannot be unhurt But tomorrow is waiting for me Tomorrow, I can do better Tomorrow, I can show my love Tomorrow, I can be your child And tonight, I ask that you watch over me As I sleep I ask that you be with me When I wake I ask that, every hour Of every day I be aware of your presence Amen
