Evening update Day 111 . Good day here . Stone did pretty good with rehab despite being so sleepy . He has really not slept in days . We cant really figure out why. Praying tonight will be night of good rest for him. Blood pressure ok for most part . New medication seems to be working pretty good and we still have room to go up on dose if needed. Hes trying hard to get some sounds out . We feel that it is close . I know Ive been saying it a long time now but Stone is becoming more and more of a rehab patient than a medical patient. If the Blood pressure was under control And feeding issues were just a little bit better then it could be argued that home is best place for him to finish his recovery. We know he has a step down surgery in future. (Colostomy removal) To reconnect his plumbing . But that will be several months down the road And if he has to stay on dialysis then that can be done outpatient. I know its hard on him to be stuck in this room and have all these people all over him around the clock with very little chance to sleep . As I write this post we are on dialysis. We got moved to afternoon somehow from this morning. Amy was just showing him a video of his brother and sister. Hes laughing hard. So good to see him recognize them. I know Stones going to be fine . I just dont know how long its going to take to get him there. But get there, he will. Train rolls on !!
