Evening update...Gage is slowly coming around. Today was a pretty good day, even though he slept and rested most of it. Bandages came off and his drain from the surgery came out as well. He is also off all monitors and just on an IV. This evening Mommy was able to get Gage to eat apple sauce (he gets that from his Auntie Melody) and his favorite Gold Fish. He has been drinking a little more as well. Still need to see Gage eat and drink more to make sure we keep his doctors happy. Gage also got a visit from his Uncle Mark. Thanks Mark for coming and hanging out, even though Mister Gage was snoozing through your visit. I know that Jenn (mommy) and Moose (daddy) were glad you stopped in. Gages sodium levels are slowly getting back to normal. If you are unfamiliar with why this is so important, its because of his Diabetes Insipidus. Once we get back on tract with sodium levels and maintain a somewhat normal fluid output his doctors will be happier. Gages plastic surgeon also wants to ensure he has a healthy dose of IV antibiotics in him to help prevent any infections. We are absolutely ok with this! Once Gage starts getting back to a more normal routine, then we will see what the doctors decide and go from there. I will say this again, thank you all for your support.
