Event Coordinator Needed. This is a volunteer position. (Few Steps From Home is a non-profit, none of us are paid) Job duties would include looking at possible events , fundraisers and adoption events to see if it is possible for us to participate in, if we have enough volunteers to cover the event, if we meet all the criteria to hold the event ect A lot of our volunteers hold jobs and work with the animals at the rescue so are already stretched thin for time to handle the fund raising portion of running the rescue. We have some great fund raising ideas..we just need a person to make that all happen for us. One example of what you would do..we want to hold a fund raising dinner. We need a person to go into the business, talk to the manager, set the date and time, pick the tickets up when they are ready..make sure we have fliers posted in local business adverting the event and tickets get delivered to all those who are selling them. Possibly talk to a radio station to get the dinner a little spot on the radio as a community event. If this position intrests you, please drop us a note and let us know!
