Event honoring Assemblywoman Bonnie Lowenthal Sunday, June 23 Partners of Parks is holding an event to honor Assemblywoman Bonnie Lowenthal for her years of support of parks in Long Beach during her years as both a member of our City Council and as Assemblywoman for the State of California. The event is from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday the 23rd at Bliss 525 and is only $45 (in advance, $55 at the door) including a complete dinner. There will be raffles with some fun prizes as well as some very interesting people attending. This is an affordably priced fundraiser that will raise much-needed revenues to support Long Beach parks and parks programs including scholarship classes for at-risk and low income children, programs for seniors, parks maintenance and other valuable and necessary programs endangered by years of budget cuts to our parks.
