Event in Pepper Pike, Ohio: Scott Miller, Director of Curatorial Affairs at the United States Holocaust Museum, is co-author of Refuge Denied: The St. Louis Passengers and the Holocaust. In 1939, the Cuban government turned away the passenger liner carrying 937 people--almost all of them Jews fleeing Nazi Germany.
