Event trip: c/o pop Festival and c/o pop Convention – Pop Culture in NRW August 20 – 24, 2014 c-o-pop.de/festival/ c-o-pop.de/convention/ 2014 c/o pop Music Festival in Cologne attracts again thousands of people interested in the newest trends of pop culture. The festival will play out in over 20 venues and involve more than 50 shows. As ever, the line up is strikingly international, featuring bands from more than 15 countries. The c/o pop concept, which among other things makes use of unusual venuessuch as the Millowitsch Theatre or the Philharmonic Hall, makes this festival an exciting alternative to many other music festivals in Germany. Alongside the c/o pop Music Festival the c/o pop Convention – the business event on music and media industries – will take place. The c/o pop industry event, this year going by the umbrella brand name of “c/o pop convention”, returns with an exciting programme to secure its reputation as a key platform for the music, media and entertainment industries. In line with its motto “We care about independent pop culture”, the c/o pop convention will tackle a range of new issues head on – exploring in particular the central questions of content distribution. We will look at the latest developments in the field of digital entertainment and highlight current movement and emerging trends in the music industry in Germany and abroad. Moreover the extensive programme of the festival meetings with the organisers, musicians and representatives of the cultural policy of North Rhine-Westphalia especially from the music section are planned. 4 places for organizer, musicians, disseminators and specialized journalists are available for this trip.
