Eventful, enjoyable day today. Got in a good workout before breakfast, cycled in, finished reconfiguring the seismic lab, learnt Canvas, went to my first ever class on teaching, had lunch by the beach, did the ice bucket challenge for ALS with Alexandra Farrell (I challenged Ellen Trainor, Stephen McNutt, Georgina Gibson, Michael Gibson and Rachel Smith), made good progress on my class planning, went to an impressive talk about 3D scanning on the 7th floor of IDS, which has some of the best views in Tampa, hit the USF gym for the first time since getting back and now Im lying in a hammock by a lake as the sun goes down.
