Events February 2014 Spay/Neuter Awareness Month Dates: 2/1/2014 - 2/28/2014 Time: 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM While we work hard to promote spay/neuter all year long, February is the month designated for reminding and educating as many people as we can about the benefits of fixing your pets. The #1 Reason to Spay and Neuter your animals is it saves lives! •Spaying and Neutering prevents litters, which reduces pet overpopulation. •It decreases the number of unwanted and homeless animals. •Rescue groups and shelters are not overburdened and euthanasia rates go down. •There are numerous health benefits and no negative ones! Every year, 3-4 million dogs and cats in the country are euthanized. Take the time to love your pet a little extra this month and encourage those who havent to spay and neuter their pets!
