Ever been to a militarised Zone kids? The military force, locks down the area and creates an occupation perimeter of the area in question in the middle of the civilian space. Its to isolate the rebels, insurgents, terrorists, civil war resistance force and guerrillas. How far can they push the envelope with the public? Thats being tested right now, so the public opinion learns to normalise it when it gets habituated to it. Just another day, ignore the army on the streets and carry on. Such ops are not secret stuff, its standard military operations to capture, buildings, government offices, tv and ratio stations and main traffic arteries in and out of cities, and become the de facto new government in power. Practice makes perfect, next time it wont classic terrorist profiles theyll be after.
