Ever get the feeling it just aint your day? Bad day at the office and then get to end of day and I thought I would just check to see if any Killers tickets had come up at around 1845 (concert at Hamersmith starts 7.30 but doors open at 7pm). To my surprise there they were. So who to go with? Denise Bourne has ruled herself out by already heading for a curry night with her workmates. Ryan Bourne is chairing a panel at Cambridge University. Lauren Fruen decides she is out sipping cocktails with a pretty boy from JLS. Hannah Bee Bourne is out if range in Medway and couldnt make it in time. Hannah Ruth Butt has her phone switched off. Took the decision to go it alone. Its now 7pm. Bu no matter, TfL tells me I am 23 minutes from Hammersmith by tube. So I book a ticket - at original price on official site - and go through to pay. I have under 3 minutes to complete transaction. Register on system, enter address details, card number. Look at clock. Less than a minute to go. But Im there! At least I thought I was. That damn ###%%+* MasterCard Security Code thing appears on screen - thats right the one you can never remember your password for. 30 seconds to go. Answer security questions and .......I am timed out. Tickets gaaawn. I am consoling myself with thought that had I got the tickets the tube would have got trapped in a tunnel between stations on the way. Some things just aint supposed to be. Now heading home on a slow train to Rochester!
