Ever had your birthday forgotten? You waited for wishes from friends and family but it never arrives. Ever felt like the world ignores you? You waited eagerly to play with friends but even the one in the wheelchair was picked over you? Ever been lonely? Most of us cannot even bear the thought. Well, Jane knew. She was a nobody. Neglected by society, she often felt like she didn’t matter. And then, there was The Big Christmas Show! A show that showcase the greatest talents once a year. A show for her to show the world who she is. And she went for it! She was prepped for the audition, but BOOM! Even that was snatched away from her by the famous “Brenda X”. Cast into the shadow of society again, Jane cried out in despair. She wondered what her life really meant. In the depth of darkness, the voice of the Lord spoke to her through an unassuming beggar. The real Christmas show is bigger than any human stage productions. It is Christ’s birthday, that we often forget. This show is one that has been running from the day that the Lord sent His star, His only Son to be born of the flesh to live among us and atone for our sin. Christmas may well be known as a time of gift-giving, but many often forget that the GREATEST gift given was the gift of Jesus Christ that God so lovingly gave to us. This gift is free for all of us and is freely given to those who would receive Him. Truly, no other gift can be compared to the gift of Jesus. Joy to the world! The Lord is come!
