Ever heard of Tour de France? Well yesterday we got a taste of Tour de Swano! Try to put visualize this..... 11 am we meet at Casa Verde. Swano starts the beers flowing. Were getting primed for the 6 hours return trip to Del Drago. We are on pushbikes so beers and pushbikes can only go two ways. Awesome fun or a disaster. Lucky for us it was awesome fun! Except for Regina who had a little crash before we even left town! We started in Bocas and slowly rode our way out of town visiting almost every drinking establishment along the way tasting the local brews. We ride deep into the jungle and then it starts pouring with rain. It was that bad that we could not see more than a few meters in front of us. The rain was hitting us hard and it made it almost impossible to open our eyes. The roads are full of potholes and we are constant alert. There is nothing like riding through a jungle in pouring rain not being able to see! What an adventure! After many many stops along the way we ended up at Del Drago where we stopped for lunch and to get some more supplies ;) Our first Tour De Swano was a success! The ride back was even more crazy but some things are not shared and are only for the people experiencing it ;) So why not go on your own adventure and have some fun! P.S yes I know that drinking and riding a pushbike is a little irresponsible. Sometimes you just have to do something of the wall as long as know the potential consequences and are not endangering anyone else then why not have a little fun! BOOM!!! Cheers, ~Mike.
