Ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, 2 Tim. 3. 7. Paol told us in his letter to Timothy that in the last times perilous times would come. He describes the last society, consisting of lovers of pleasure nore that lovers of God, Heady and high minded, meaning boastful and oroud; incontinent fierce, unruly persons crossly ill mannered and uncontrollable. Look at the long list of undesirable behaviour traits which would predominate, covetous proud, boasters, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,, unthankful, unholy,, traitors, high min ded, without natural affection, false accusers, despisers of them that are goo,, having a form of Godliness , but denying the power thereof. The EXHORTATION: FROM SUCH TURN AWAY. Of these are those that enter into houses and lead astray silly women laden with sins and led away with divers lusts. EVER LEARNING AND NEVER ABLE TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH.. The truth is in Jesus, he is the Lord from heaven bearing the anointing of the High Priest over the house of God, his own house and body, the church. The church is the bride of Christ espoused to one husband , who now as the bridegroom has gone to prepare a place for his bride. He shall appear and choose his wife from among the many members, as those who have made themselves ready. I want to be in that number when the saints go marching in. No chastening do I want to neglect, for the calling and election must be securely chased and the desired blessed hope attained. So let us who have this hope depart from iniquity and seek after godliness and holiness in the fear of the Lord Jesus and for the preservation of the truth..
