Ever make a mistake during a match, then feel compelled to rush to - TopicsExpress

Ever make a mistake during a match, then feel compelled to rush to makeup time, which results in Mikes and no shoots? When shooters want to improve most often they look at improving skill. Its important and the price of admission into the contest, but the mental approach to the game is probably twice as important to shooting excellence when compared to skill development (once a baseline of skill is achieved). One important area of the mental game is assessing your Emotional Quotient (EQ). Having a high EQ enables you to control emotions regardless of the changing circumstances in a match and affects your ability to adjust on the fly and perform under pressure. A high EQ works together with a high IQ and allows your skills to show their true nature without emotional interference. The best shooting comes when we are able to stay out of our own way and just shoot.
