Ever reach the end of a long piece of writing, go back and find the first quarter is out of whack with the rest? It happens to me when my writing brain goes off message and departs from the original intention of a piece while still writing it. Then when its time to review the work I find the head and tail are of different creatures. Its a problem Ive been having on a bigger scale since embarking on re-writing an earlier work. Do I try to maintain the early style or do I go George Lucas and revise it in my current voice?
