Ever since IPL 2013, there have been special columns about him. Cricket experts kept calling him as the next possible big thing in Indian cricket. Legends like Sachin, Dravid, Gavaskar & Gilchrist mentioned him as a player to be watched out for. He was the best young player in IPL 2013. He was assigned as the India U-19 captain for their world cup. He started his next season with a double century in Ranji Trophy. He finished IPL 2014 as the second top run scorer for RR in the season and with a brilliant half century against MI in a loosing cause. His straight six over Mid Off against Steyn at the pace of 150kmph was one of the best sights in this seasons IPL. Again, people kept talking about him. But the door was only open until U-19 or India A. Many expected him to get a call to the recent Bangladesh tour. But no, he wasnt called. Instead he was asked to go to Australia with India A. He finished the quadrangular series as the top run scorer for India A. That opened eyes. That opened doors. Yes, Sanju V Samson is included in the Indian Cricket Team for the England ODIs. Proud to be from Kerala. Proud to be from Thiruvananthapuram. Lets hope and pray together; let this be a new beginning for Kerala Cricket. Let this guy reach heights and lets hope one day Kerala will be known as the home state of Sanju Samson, the Indian Wicket Keeper.
