Ever since Zack and I started dating and even before that, he has always gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to cars and transportation. Hes had to quit jobs because his car died or couldnt get rides. He hasnt been able to go anywhere on his own since Ive known him except for work and back. For the first three years we dated he depended on me for rides to work and everywhere else for that matter. Ive never minded driving him around, but I always felt so sorry for him and told myself as soon as we can, I want to get him a car hell love that is safe and is either brand new or as close to brand new as we could get. Well, we finally were able to get that car on Friday. I did the car shopping while he was at work and found a car that was in our price range, we could make affordable payments on, and was actually new (a better deal than some of the used cars I originally looked at). When I said new car, he thought it meant new to us, not literally new. So when I handed him the keys and he looked at the mileage and realized this is literally a brand new car and we are the first owners, he was shocked and tried to give the keys back saying You deserve the newer car, I can drive the blue one and Ill switch out the car seats for you. I told him Absolutely not, both cars are ours, but this ones just for you to drive. I have a car that I love and drive, its only fair that you get one too. So as you can imagine, when it sunk in that this was his car, he was thrilled. Im so happy that we could do it and that he finally got a car that he deserves. He works so hard and never complains. Hes always put me and the girls first. Hes never done anything for just himself. Every day he works, then comes home to be a great father and an amazing husband. I think he needs a little more freedom than just work and home. Now if he feels like a coffee before work, he can stop and get one. If there is a birthday party for one of his friends and I cant go, he can. He can go to the store, he can go to the gym, he can go anywhere he wants. All the little things we take for granted.
