Ever since my little girl was old enough to talk, we have played I spy with my little eyes. Our favorite time to play our game is walking to the park. Sometimes I think we should rename the game, I see all Gods blessings. Sad to admit but there was a time in my life I was so busy to see Gods hand in much of anything, including me. Praise God I am changed. Amazing how I see Him in everything in a way I never did before. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). How fascinating Gods touch is everywhere we look. From the time the sun rises to the time the moon appears, the sand, the sea, the mountains, even my beautiful flowers out my kitchen window, His touch has created them all. Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon, Praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were created. He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away (Psalm 148:1-6). Gods touch is on every human being. Sadly society has taught us and is teaching our children to like someone you have to look good, have the right clothes, live in the right house, in the good neighborhood and drive the most expensive car. God created His children to look for the good in people above anything else. To be true believers for Christ we should be Christlike to one another. But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you in the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High (Luke 6:27-35). For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. God wants us to see the good in others even when we cant see it ourselves, it takes looking through Him to find it. Finally and most assuredly Gods touch is seen in you and I. Our identity is not based on outwardly appearance, on who we are, what we have or what we have done; our identity is with Jesus Christ who accomplished it at the cross on Calvary. What does God see when He looks upon His children? God sees the salvation we have accepted from Him. God sees forgiveness in our hearts. God sees His grace and mercy in our lives. Best of all God sees hope in each of us, that everything we touch people will see the hand of God upon. Psalm 66:5-6 Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him.
