Ever since the attacks in Paris, Muslims in the UK have had to deal with a number of Islamophobic attacks. Many of the victims of these attacks by non-Muslims have been vulnerable sisters. Apart from having their hijabs ripped off their heads, many have been physically attacked in a number of other ways. The most disturbing of all these cases occurred on the 8th January in Longsight, Manchester, where a fourteen year old Pakistani Muslim girl was kidnapped and raped a number of times, after being dragged into a car by two white non-Muslim men. In another case, a sister was waiting for a taxi after finishing work. A man stood next to her, put a metal suitcase down in front of them and asked her what she thought was inside. He then repeated Ill have to kill you if I told you. He eventually said I have a pistol and I can blow your brains out in two seconds. Her taxi came and he walked away. So this is a message to tell Muslims (especially our sisters) to be careful when you are out, especially if you are alone. Most people can take care of themselves, but all it takes is one psychotic maniac and it is all over. This is not a means to scare anybody or create panic, rather in the climate we are living in, it is best to be safe than sorry. JazakAllah Khair. - Brother Amar Alam
