Ever wonder where the Cosmic Cookie Jar gets names for things? We do. Well here are just two examples: We had a sweet chocolaty cookie and a nutty striped one. Both needed names. Enter Snarflehound and The Jackalope, our two dogs. Luckily Snarflehounds, as we all know, are sweet and chocolaty (see photo) and Jackalopes, from everything we’ve seen, are thoroughly nutty and stripy (again, see photo). It worked fairly well since people like saying, “I believe I’ll have me a Snarfles” as much as they seem to enjoy saying, “Make mine a Nutty Jackalope Macaroon, why don’tcha.” They get a cookie, we have our little laugh and the dogs get their royalty payments in the form of cheesebread.
