Ever wonder why it seems like no matter how hard you try, you just cant overcome the obstacles in front of you? Struggle seems to be the only way to live and you have just accepted defeat. Ive always had to learn things the hard way, it didnt matter what anyone told me, whether it was right or wrong, I was bound and determined to do it my way. Time after time, I would fall flat on my face, wondering where I went wrong. When I drank, it was because I could not deal with the failures in my life and the pain of knowing I would never be good enough or smart enough to fit into the box, the world tried to place me in. The world was not the problem, I was... or at least my perception of myself. See, all the disappointments and failures, over and over again program you to believe, you are worthless and no one could ever love you, what a lie... yet we believe it because we think we will never live up to the worlds, Cookie-cutter version of ourselves. Until we learn, it is what God says about us, what God thinks about us, and how much He loves us.. we will continue to believe the lies of the devil and continue to try to live in the box, the world has chosen for us! I have learned to look at myself through my Fathers eyes, to love myself like Jesus does... what a relief, to know I dont have to be perfect, it is okay to be flawed, God is made perfect in my imperfections, strong in my weaknesses, and triumphant in my failure. I am what God says I am and that is enough for me.... no matter who the world says I am. For without Christ, I can do nothing, but though Him, I can do all things (Philippians 4:13). My prayer for all of my friends and family, that are still struggling, is that you will come to know the peace, that I have found in Christ. I am nothing special, I have nothing, that you cant have, it is all found in Jesus. Surrender all to Him and let the healing begin! I want each of you to know one thing...
