Everton Elliott Fletcher it looks like since you agreed with me on secession some months ago you have been given a proper talking to and put back in your place so now you are back to your old ways of attacking Obi the messenger. Oh well some of us dont have the testicular fortitude to endure. 3 hrs · Like Ivan Barry Ian Nevisbigpappa Taylor, Look how Parry and Douggie got away with that $4 Million for the so called Airport Land. All of us know exactly what took place, its not like we are living in Australia and dont know the real reason behind the $4 Million. I do not know any other part of the world this could have happen and the people let it slide by as if it contains some sort of poison. 3 hrs · Like Vastell Wumba Williams Obi, until we stop dis all ah dem does do it talk nothing will change. Dat one of my biggest issues with the present federal govt in SKN, and also why for almost 20 years we fraid to pass de Integrity in Public Life Act, because politician know that lots of things they doing cant pass de smell test. Look at de watered down version of IPA dat dey pass and where is de enforcement muscle behind the law. Why all over de Caribbean it tek de USA and Canada or UK to go after we politicians for rampant corruption and graft? You know is de chef bring down dis governor and he wife because of bad treatment, guess we need a lot more chefs to come forward...lol 3 hrs · Like · 1 Ian Nevisbigpappa Taylor All of dem do bad things. ...wrong is wrong. ..right is right. ... 3 hrs · Like Everton Elliott I remember the former PM of Trinidad, Panday doing prison time for corruption. Our country need to get mature like this. Too many unscrupulous polititicians running around. By the way that goes for St. Kitts too Jermaine Sacky Lake...I see your comment was only geared to Nevis. 3 hrs · Like · 1 Fletcher St Jean Everton Elliott, Im here deading with laugh. But thanks for the good laugh. I guess the question is which side talked to me? We are still on the same secession team, but just imagine how great your post would have been had you named the alleged Nevisian politicians regardless of what political team they represent. Its always a nice read to know the politicians who are allegedly accepting bribes and screwing women for favors without ramifications... I mean its only fair, as you post pictures of the American politicians but seems to have a sense of trepidation when dealing with the Nevisian politicians... I come in peace my friend... 3 hrs · Like · 3 Ian Nevisbigpappa Taylor So y we as Nevisians stand up and say u wrong or right regardless of party a run things. .....we n small Nevis know all the politicians....they either our teachers. ..friends. ...neighborhood/village ppl.....businessman. ..so we tends to look up 2 them....so many of us r afraid 2 tell dem they r wrong. ....so shiiiiiit prolong & we keep quiet. ....I say call spade a spade.....time 4 we work as Nevisians and not CCM OR NRP.....we ALL looking 4 progress both n our life N country.......Blessed mi family 3 hrs · Like Jermaine Sacky Lake In terms of my comment I spoke of the DPP because he is the only person in the federation with prosecutorial discretion and the Nia of its own cannot initiate such without him. The same goes on St Kitts. It wasnt my intention to single out Nevis but rather to highlight the fact that even if instances of corruption are found by the Nia they cannot of their own direct a prosecution and in the case of the fire to the treasury investigations should have been done but the Nia because it lacks the ability to pursue investigations and prosecutions (as well as petty politics by some) is losing out on the opportunity to find out who and what caused the fire. I only hope that it is ultimately dealt with Say what you all want about America but they do hold their politicians accountable in many cases more than many countries. Just think of it, over the last 14 yrs 9 governors have been found guilty of corruption with some doing jail time. When will Saint kitts and Nevis become mature enough as a country to do this and stop letting our politicians corrupt the place? Look at what happened yesterday the former powerful governor of Virginia a possible Vice President candidate for Romney in 2012 Bob McDonnell and his wife Maureen were found Guilty of 11 of 13 corruption charges against him. His wife was found Guilty of 9 of 13 charges of public corruption. He now face up to 20 years in prison on each count (so 11 *20 = 220 yrs), although a pre-sentencing report by the federal probation office will result in a lighter recommendation. Keep in mind he was offered a plea deal to accept guilt on 1 count and face no jail time but he was playing bad. He and his wife along with their kids buss out bawling in court when the verdict was read. But guess what they did, they accepted more than $165,000 in gifts and loans from businessman. Sounds really simple right? This kind of thing goes on Nevis or St. Kitts daily where politicians accepts gifts and bribes from people for political favors. Heck they screw women for political favor. on-msn/1rPNaF8
