Every Saturday morning at Berkshire Books (3480 Clayton Road across from the big Eucalyptus Tree) is the Concords Concerned Citizen Curmudgeon Committee meeting (plague in the window) starting around 9:15 or so. This morning we had a good discussion about newspapers and local coverage, school-city relations and a few other things. Then went on an hour tour of the Monument Corridor with a constituent where we drove up and down just about every street and compared notes and histories of the area that is often misunderstood and misrepresented in the local blogs and community. People often need to re-tour their own city and rediscover the depth and wonders of its neighborhoods to refresh their minds as to the extent of the unexpected to break their stereotypes of a neighborhood.
