Every band playing the festival this year is going to be amazing and Im very thankful for every yes to my offers to have them play. Sometimes it takes a little extra wizardry to make a tricky act a reality and this year, theres no doubt a lot of extra work and effort has gone into securing a very special appearance for the band occupying our second last slot... Frances CHRYSALIDE. The bands debut album Dont Be Scared, Its About Life is now a couple of years old and went through somewhat of a revival when it got an expanded domestic release through Artoffact. The album was received very well for its utterly relentless assault on every musical level. Theres a sense of pervasive dread as the tracks smash through their paces and vocals are delivered through wave after wave of attack and counterattack. Chrysalides follow-up album is now complete and will hopefully see a release before the end of this year. They are clearly on the rise and we are very lucky to get a unique chance to see them perform live in North America.
