Every believer in Christ is called to devote himself or herself to - TopicsExpress

Every believer in Christ is called to devote himself or herself to The Work of God (Titus 3: 8-14). The Christian race gives no room for either spiritual or physical idleness. No one has been called to be a spectator. All must be involved. To do this, there is need for every Christian to rise up to the challenge of working for Christ in the most spectacular way. The business of spreading the Gospel is so vast that everyone must be involved. If we work together, God will use us together to accomplish for Himself the purpose of bringing lost souls into The Kingdom. Apostle Paul was telling Titus point blank that Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order that they may provide for their daily necessities and not live unproductive lives (v. 14). There is no room for laziness or loitering in whatever guise. As believers, we have been saved for a purpose and so, there is need for us to devote ourselves to doing Gods Work. This is because there are great rewards for doing so. First, we will receive an unusual Grace to work beyond ones ability, that is, the Grace to do the extra-ordinary. Second, like a soldier on the battlefield, we will receive unusual provision and protection needed to carry out the Work. Lastly, through us, the devil will submit to Gods authority; people will be delivered; lives will be transformed; healing and miracles will happen and Gods Kingdom will continue to expand. Devote your life to God and give your possessions to advance His Work here on earth. God is depending on you. @ Daily Encounter With God, 24/07/2014 (Nigerian Baptist Convention)
