Every blessing that comes to us will be through any of these vehicles: - as a gift - as a discovery - as an opportunity. Gifts come through requests; discoveries are a product of research while opportunities are gotten through relationship. Requests The key to receiving is asking - making a request. Our requests to God should be accompanied with prayers and thanksgiving. Having a thankful heart is the key to receiving gifts - a heart full of gratitude attracts us to those who give us gifts. Each time we come to God in prayer, lets always thank Him first and be grateful for all He has done for us. When we look back and remember what God has done for us, it reminds us that God truly deserves our thanksgiving - the same applies to men. It takes disciple to be a thanksgiver. Discovery Great discovery comes through research and exploration. Research requires study and questioning. Understanding Gods purpose for our lives take a lot of discipline in the place of research. A man is as valuable as the discoveries he makes. Relate Learning to relate with people is the key to open doors. Knocking is done on peoples hearts and involves talking and fellowship. We need to learn how to make conversations and avoid speaking careless words. The art of speaking helps us knock on the hearts of people. A great conversation builds relationship. When we connect to people emotionally, well learn to build their trust, fellowship and loyalty. How to speak fitly words: 1. Learn to compliment people 2. Celebrate their achievements 3. Praise their good deeds 4. Encourage the weak 5. Find something nice to say to someone. One of the greatest gift we can give to others is the gift of attention. Ive learnt to speak to people with respect, worth and love. I also learnt that whenever I listen, I should always listen for ideas and listen for instructions. ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN 1. Continue the lifestyle of saying thank you when Im served, no matter who the person is. 2. Consciously connect with people on my contact list once a month, especially those I dont have a regular interaction with. 3. Imbibe the habit of thanking God at the end of everyday before going to bed, instead of the current haphazard way I do it before dozing off. CHANGES TO BE MADE 1.
