Every child needs the love of both their father and mother. Its two different parts that make us whole. But what happens if one of them is broken? The child cant do anything to fix things but they want to so badly. To my children. You are amazing people. I am so thankful for you all. You cannot change the fact that your father is bipolar. You will have to live with the fact that he will criticize you and run you down without cause when he is feeling vulnerable. But you will become stronger and more understanding people because you can see that underneath it all....he is scared, he loves you and needs to be loved by you. You can see the truth about yourself as a strong caring person ...that is something he cannot see, only because of his own frailty. You can better understand the frailty of humanity, and how much your love is sorely needed in this crazy world.
