Every community has a river. I jumped across it in Helen, Georgia. - TopicsExpress

Every community has a river. I jumped across it in Helen, Georgia. Linda and even her Mom and Paige and Dana paddled down it. It fed the people of Atlanta, flooded the people of the Valley and claimed many lives over the years. The Chattahoochee River. The home of Indians before us. Way beyond the railroad trestle and the John C. Barrow Bridge. The Chattahoochee brought us the West Point Dam, and the deaths of loved ones. The most memorable for me was Mrs. Lewis the wife of Carlton the coach at West Point High School. I was there when the Coach reported her missing and there when the Valley Rescue Squad brought her ashore. The Chattahoochee keeps rolling along.
