Every day, firefighters and EMS personnel risk their lives protecting people and property in their communities, but these first responders need protection too. Each year nearly half of all firefighter deaths are caused by heart attacks. The NVFC is working to increase heart-health awareness and provide the resources, tools, and tips that firefighters and their families can use to drastically reduce the number of firefighter and EMS personnel deaths from heart attack.
