Every day is an immense challenge to navigate the disappointments, - TopicsExpress

Every day is an immense challenge to navigate the disappointments, frustrations, and worries of life. But I keep waking up to the next day feeling ready to take what comes. Because I know that my redeemer lives. Because I know where Ive been and how I have the power to not go there again. Because Im secure in who I am in God. Though youll catch me crying with fear, aching with loneliness, being rude and pissy when Im tired, mean when Im self-focused, brash when talking about politics, laid down with depression, not feeling well with physical annoyances... I REFUSE TO STAY THERE AND LET IT DEFINE ME. A friend of mine and I were discussing the hinge pin for our recovery from verious issues. And agreed that it was what we learned at Freedom Ministries at Thomas Road Baptist Church: that we are deeply loved, fully pleasing, and acceptable before God. That our worth is not defined by what we are able to do, but rather Who we seek our worth from. Without knowing our worth, whats the use in trying to get better? Knowing our worth = having a reason to live. I believe thats severely lacking in the Mental Health world.
