Every day is that special day you have been waiting for, dont wait any longer! ~~~~ Chuck Swindoll Some people have too much patience, they are wait-conscious, putting everything on hold until later. And why? They have good intentions to do something good for themselves or someone else; they rationalize, oh someday Ill do it or Ill get around to it sometime, but they never do. That day and time never come. I once read a story of a young woman whose dad surprised her mom with a Mediterranean cruise for their 25th wedding anniversary. While in Southern Italy, her mom bought a beautiful handmade silk slip with Italian lace that was quite a splurge since her frugal and money conscious mom never bought anything that wasnt practical and inexpensive. Once returning home, she proudly showed her friends the gorgeous delicate slip she kept in tissue paper in her top drawer and said, oh I will wear it someday on some special occasion She kept the slip tucked away for years, recalling now and again the day she bought it, but never wearing it. Well time passed and this heartbroken daughter pulled the slip from her moms dresser drawer and held it close to her tear stained cheek and gently rubbed its soft silk across her face and then gently laid it on the bed with the other items to be taken to the funeral home for her moms preparation for burial. Her moms special occasion finally came, just sad not while she was alive. Today is a that special day! It is that special occasion, every day we awaken alive, put our feet on the floor and walk through our home, see the sunrise and hear the sounds of our family bustling about, everyday we step out doors and see Gods splendid creation all around us and we hear the wind rustling through the trees and hear the birds singing their sweet melodies is that special day. Someday and one of these days are losing their grip in my vocabulary. If it is worth seeing, doing, hearing or saying; then why not now? I want to stop putting things off til later, holding back and waiting til someday. Now is the day! Every single day is that special day, that special occasion you have been waiting for, dont wait any longer! Have the most incredible day my friends, it is a blessing to be enjoyed and shared! :0)
