Every hour of the day and night is an unspeakable perfect miracle. We should all Cherish the life God has given to us. Sometimes the emotion of despair can take over us and sway our thinking and take it to a whole other level. Pressure from all around can leave us confused, persecution can make us feel like weve been struck down. When life seems overwhelming, we just cant give up. We must re-evaluate life, and our purpose here. But beyond that, we are earthen vessels, fragile clay pots! Not super humans, no matter how much we may try to convince ourselves. We arent home yet folks! In 2 Cor 4:7 the NIV version says it like this: But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. WE are that jar of clay. Our bodies, our outward appearance, our physical disabilities, our shattered dreams.... this is all elements of our jar of clay. But if we sit and focus on this despair is bout to set in. But the wonderful secret to overcoming this despair, and appreciating this life that God has given to us, is also in these verses in 2 Corinthians, 4. Hidden and kept inside that broken fragile ordinary jar of clay is a treasure, a priceless treasure. 2 Cor 4: 7-12; 16-18 NIV But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. We must Let Gods truth help us re-evaluate this wonderful life and focus not on the failing jar of clay, that time and disease will eventually destroy. But on that treasure that dwells within us. That treasure can fill us where we feel empty. That treasure is God himself, living within us, bringing HIS life alive inside us. Remember, we are here for His purpose, to spread His love, and eternal life through Him alone. We are simply an empty clay jar. But when this humanity is filled with deity, we receive what we were created to hold! The very life of Christ. For HE is our treasure! AMEN! Despair has no place in our jars, when Christ himself fills this vessel! AMEN! When we look ONLY at the frail clay pot, despair is only natural. But when we look at that glorious treasure we hold, we are inwardly renewed day by day! And those frailties and cracks in our clay pots? God can use those to allow His love and Life seep out, for all around us to see. So take heart my friend! Be encouraged and Cherish your life! Every Miracle Minute of it! Because you, as a child of God, Hold the greatest of all Treasures! Dear Lord, we love you and thank you for allowing this frail, broken jar, to hold the greatest treasure of all. You! And that is a reason to cherish it all-- Even the cracks! I love you Lord! And I thank you! In Christ alone~ Robyn
