Every human on this planet has a right, a superior right that no individual, no group, no authority, no state, can give them but that is innately their own. We have recognized this to be true, thus the birth of the declaration of human rights affirms our stand of this universal principles. The United Nations created these documents so that every nation on earth should uphold the principles it outlines. The document is written in an inclusive language in an agreement of what we all hold true. However, to agree to Universal human rights on paper is easier than living by the principles it upholds. Thus, we see violations of human rights across the world in contradiction to the principles the declarations of human rights upholds. Ideally, if every nation truly upheld these principles of human rights, we would not have oppression, slavery, conflicts, wars and even genocides in the world communities. This only proves that there is a critical piece missing in the enforcement of these documents, and the document only remains bogus worthless. The UN declaration of human rights encompasses the dignity and worth of humans universally without exception, using inclusive words like “Everyone”, “All,” and “No one,”. In fact, on paper, it is an international document that represents universality of human rights by uniting humanity but not like that of the Oromo Gadaa Constitution which encompasses all and every living things. The Oromo Gadaa Constitution is a universal and a walking constitution. It is universal because it encompasses every living things and it is a walking constitution because it is not written on paper but in the minds of Abbaa Gadaas. The most important thing is, we Oromos (Africans) have this universal constitution way before the UN declaration of human rights. Abbaa Gadaa Aagaa Xanxanoo, a walking constitution reads: --About the supreme law, law of everything, the Gadaa constitution --About impeachment --About succession --About universality of the Gadaa constitution, law of everything --About power transfer --About separation of power --About womens right and many more in this interview. What a successful progress having these walking constitutions on our own media!
