Every individual is a psychological being, and as such we respond - TopicsExpress

Every individual is a psychological being, and as such we respond to different stimuli differently by way of inferences and perception Hence our individual differences. Every driver on the road would have experienced ROAD RAGE at some point or another. At least I can say that of motorists within the Lagos metropolis. Those who say if you can drive in Lagos, you can drive anywhere in the world may not be far from the truth Now what is a ROAD RAGE? It is defined as a sudden violent anger provoked in a motorist by the actions of another driver My experience today as I drove back home from church is a clear cut example of humans as psychological beings. Right on Bourdillon road in Ikoyi where ofcourse its a 2lane road with so many sharp bends, U Turns, left turns and right turns. Here I was doing 60miles on gear 5 while I maintained my lane and suddenly this Mercedes in from of me started veering toward my lane which if I hadnt awakened his consciousness with my horn could have caused an accident and the next thing he did was curse out at me out of anger and his excuse being that he was avoiding a man riding on his bicycle. By impulse I could could have slowed down and curse back at him but I chose to respond to his road rage by ignoring and driving past him peacefully. Moral of this story here is that how we respond to stimuli determines the effect and outcome of that stimuli on us and the environment at large. Its a choice #CarChronicle for the day.
