Every morning Amber gets an x-ray of her lungs and back. They put - TopicsExpress

Every morning Amber gets an x-ray of her lungs and back. They put a slide right under her, bring in the equipment and voila we are looking at an x-ray soon after. Although she started breathing on her own yesterday, they left her hooked up to the ventilator as a back-up, with the plan to take her tube out of her mouth today. Unfortunately, we were surprised to find fluid in her left lung this morning. The ICU doctor that is with us today I absolutely love. He is by far my favorite. He has spent so much time with us and just a little bit ago he came in and just stood watching Amber for awhile. It warms my heart. So anyway, the poor girl is going to have this uncomfortable tube in her mouth/throat for at least another day minimum. They have reduced her pain meds and I believe she now knows I am here. Still not a peep out of her and I think she is comfortable all things considered. Thank you again for praying. One other thing you can pray for....I have had a headache for two days that is so bad I feel major nausea without some serious pain meds that just take the edge off. Thanks for your support!!!!
