Every morning my little guy opens up his drawer and brings a book - TopicsExpress

Every morning my little guy opens up his drawer and brings a book for me to read to him. This morning was a bit different, he climbed out of his crib and went to my office so I followed him. He went to my books and grabbed How To Create A Mind, The Secret Of Human Thought Revealed As he opened the book he went to tear the page and i gently said to him...Chaisson please try not to rip the page... (I really avoid as much as possible saying the word no to him or any other programmable negative language as I want him to understand how not to do things using better language skills and building blocks) in every book there is knowledge, if you can find that one little piece of knowledge and apply it properly you will be far better off in your everyday life. Yes I speak to him this way all the time and it frightens me, lol and the funny thing was he looked at me and said...Book and gently patted the book page and smiled. I hope after 18 months of talking to him this way I think he is really starting to understand because his intelligence is off the hook. Is it a ton of work and effort to raise him this way? Absolutely! its very draining yet extremely liberating to see a life grow before my eyes and know that if he turns out to be the best he can be then the daunting effort was well worth it and I would do it all over again should I have another child. Daddies be educators 24/7/365 no matter what. I have never raised my voice to my son once and he knows when his hijinks are getting a bit much. I have a daddy loving voice and a daddy stern voice yet neither voice is ever raised. Have an awesome day peeps i know i will as i look at my little mans massive smile as i write this to you, hes starting to sing, lol Love you little man.
