Every now and again, I feel the need to say this because people be confused AF... The footwork sound and dance culture comes from Chicago. It is a very distinctive and specific sound. There is all of this hybrid infused with DNB, dark step, tech this and that etc etc or what I like to call everything else i.e 160 I have to say this because people are over here calling it footwork and its not. Sure genres/labeling is annoying, but know what youre talking about, because it is incorrect when you are referring to Exit Recordings (example) as footwork because its NOT. Footwork MUSIC is Corky Traxman Strong , Kavain Wayne Sr. (RP BOO) and TEKLIFE (examples) just to name a few. Its the same as someone thinking that Jungle is the same as DnB. It is under the umbrella, but those of us that know, understand that it is not the same music. Its more of a sound deliniation thing than a separation...I dunno, it just gets on my nerves when people dont know what the f*ck they are talking about sometimes, and people producing said music calling it footwork and dont even know the foundations of the damn music. Im just saying. /rant
