Every now and then I end up on a listicle myself — often one of those “academics who blog lists, only (Im sure) because Ive been doing it so very long. I was even once upon a time one of the possible *results* of a Who are you? quiz (thanks to Jacob Shwirtz, long long ago, in an internet far, far away). Today I find myself included on a list of 99 Important Books for Christian Theologians. I hope you all will hear in my typed voice the note of bemusement that in a catalogue that includes St Augustine, John Henry Newman (!), Jonathan Edwards, Jaroslav Pelikan, Diarmaid MacCulloch, Stan Hauerwas, Willie Jennings (!), Jonathan R Wilson (!), Sarah Coakley, and others, my *Making Sense of New Testament Theology* struck someone as worthy of inclusion. Such is the internet, however, and if somebody thinks its in the top 99, who am I to complain?
