Every once in a while I get the chance to feel really really REALLY excited about a gig. I wish I could say I felt this way all the time, but even for singers a lot of the time its just work! But today, I have all the ingredients for what will undoubtedly be one of my favourite moments on a stage this year! (And probably EVER!) A beautiful venue (The Ivy) packed full of many of my favourite peeps who are like family to me, in a city that has long been one of my spiritual homes in the world, for the 5 year anniversary of an event (I Remember House) that celebrates real House music (hallelujah!) and has become Sydneys hottest ticket! I walked home from soundcheck (yes Dan, I pocketed the cab fare you gave me) literally buzzing with the happiness of a Pharrell Williams song! And how appropriate, seeing as a The Ivy is literally a room without a roof!! SEE YOU THERE SYDNEY!!! I am soooooo happy to be here! Did I mention that??
