Every once in a while I share an update on my NET carcinoid - TopicsExpress

Every once in a while I share an update on my NET carcinoid status; so here goes: I am blessed and truly thankful to have a world class team of doctors on my side at Cedars-Sinai; When I was diagnosed in 2008, it seemed like lights out, but then I got signed on with these amazing people -- Doctors Wolin, Colquhoun and Wachsman and a host of support technicians and nurses -- who brought me from innumerable lesions with a 10cm+ mass to one small cluster of 4cms; We are now going to do a cocktail and a series of ablations that could leave me with no large identifiable masses left -- TRULY AMAZING; After two embolizations, two extensive surgeries with ablations and a series of Octreotide injections, I have gained my normal weight back and have a normal skin tone and completely normal body functions; My survival curve went from write a will to a static chronic state with a potential 25+ year survival curve. How amazing is this??? Through six years of occasionally excruciating healing, I have my life back!!! So much of this has been predicated upon the love of many people -- Aaron, Greg, Tom, Wendy, Landy, Skye, Starla, little Talon, Ronnie, Iris, Jack, Jason, Susan, my shaman guides and brothers in Peru, my many FB friends and all the intentions and prayers of saints the world over that I have never met -- that I can only conclude that the divine is not distant and aloof but present and manifest all around me. I am a man who truly is thankful and I commit my new found time to passing that love forward. Thank you.
